Healthy Aging: Insights on Place, Space and Time

COURSE

Course description

For the first time in Canadian history, older adults age 65+ outnumber younger persons age 14 and under. As the population ages, there is increasing interest locally and worldwide in understanding the factors that contribute to healthy aging and longevity. We will explore individual factors known to influence health and wellbeing and discuss what kinds of communities are better at supporting our health and wellness. Additionally, we will learn how earlier life experiences influence later life habits, health and wholeness, and we will explore and consider what it means to age well.
