The award-winning and accessible Certificate in Indigenous Language Revitalization is offered by the University of Victoria's School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures and the Division of Continuing Studies, in partnership with the En'owkin Centre.
Program participants develop an understanding of the dynamics of Indigenous language reclamation and revitalization and explore language as a source of empowerment and healing. Through hands-on learning opportunities rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and being, learners will develop practical skills and resources to support language documentation and community-based language planning as well as strategies to support language learning and teaching for future generations.
