Digital credentials

Celebrate your achievements with digital credentials

Continuing Studies at UVic is excited to introduce digital credentials—available through Accredible. Digital credentials are a fantastic way to showcase your achievements online quickly and easily, while establishing credibility.

What is a digital credential?

A digital credential is an electronic version of a traditional paper credential. It is a secure, verifiable and shareable credential that recognizes your achievements and skills.

Why is authenticity important?

Digital credentials are important for authenticity because they are tamper-proof and easily verifiable. This ensures that your achievements are recognized and trusted by employers, peers and educational institutions.

How do digital credentials benefit learners?

Digital credentials provide a credible way to showcase your skills and accomplishments as a graduate. They can be easily shared on professional networks like LinkedIn, enhancing visibility and further developing your career opportunities.

Why are we issuing digital credentials?

Continuing Studies is issuing digital credentials to provide learners with a modern, secure and convenient way to celebrate and share their achievements. By partnering with Accredible, we ensure that your credentials are recognized and valued globally.

Who will receive digital credentials?

All students enrolled in micro-credential programs will automatically be opted-in to receiving a digital credential through Accredible. Students in non-micro-credential programs—including diplomas, certificates and professional specialization certificates—will not receive digital credentials, and will continue to receive their hard copy parchments through UVic convocation ceremonies.
