Since we are not a placement agency, we do not find jobs for you. Instead, we provide you with the job search skills you can use now and in the future as you continue to build your career. We also provide links to numerous job boards and job postings through our UVic Career Services webpage.
Job Boards – You will find links to a variety of job boards on our UVic Career Services webpage including both general and industry specific job boards.
Job Postings – You can also search for job postings through our Co-op and Career portal.
UVic Career Services hosts numerous events including employer information sessions, employer panels, recruitment events, and hiring fairs. You can find information and links to register on our Co-op and Career portal.
Information on special events for Continuing Studies students will also be posted on our Continuing Studies Career Services webpage.
Students who chose to opt-in for Career Services pay a small fee for this service. This fee is much lower than fees charged by private recruitment agencies and other career service providers for similar services.
Full-time international students in the Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, or the Certificate in General Studies, pay this fee as part of their student service fees.
Appointments with the Career Educator are tailored to individual needs. You can get feedback on your resumé, work on a cover letter, or practice a mock interview. If you are feeling stuck or unsure where to start in your job search, we can brainstorm ideas on how to overcome challenges, build your confidence to start networking, and more.
