UVic was the best place to study English. In my two months at the ELC, Teachers and Cultural Assistants led us to speak English only and it really helped me to improve my speaking ability. Every day in class we had many questions to discuss with each other. After class, there were many activities we could choose. In these activities, we could play different new sports, go to the beach, dance, etc. At the end of the program, we had a special and wonderful culture night!

We ALWAYS had something planned…the Cultural Assistants were always enthusiastic and ready to do the activities with us. The classes are really interactive and the teachers are kind and ready to help us to improve our English as much as possible.

My University Preparation program was beyond my expectation. I learned so much about academic writing, reading skills, public speaking and so on. The course was demanding and challenging but at the same time priceless. Aside from the regular course, tutoring offered at the Pronunciation Centre was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend the ELC to any serious English learners around the world.

I had the chance to improve my English by practicing it inside and outside the classrooms. I think going to UVIC is the perfect way to study English and have fun at the same time.
