Program description

Are you currently studying or working in a healthcare field? The English Communication for Healthcare program will boost your confidence speaking with clients and in interdisciplinary teams in English-speaking settings. This course will also help prepare you to meet the language requirements of various healthcare training programs. You will learn pronunciation, medical terminology, practical communication skills, and Canadian concepts of health and wellness that you can use in local and international environments. This is a full-time program with morning classes and afternoon activities.

Monday to Friday (15 class hours per week + workshops) English classes: 9:00am – 12:00pm Afternoons: Healthcare workshops Afternoon activities such as downtown walking tour, Royal BC Museum, or conversation activities Evening dorm activities: 7:00 – 9:00pm	Optional activities led by our Cultural Assistants. Depending on the season, activities might include: whale watching Butchart Gardens trips to Vancouver culture nights dances kayaking hiking ...and more!
