Course Series
In the face of compounding global crises, the Depth Education Series offers courses that support participants in confronting complicity in systemic harm, deepening relational intelligence and accountability, cultivating non-transactional partnerships with human and more-than-human intelligences—including AI. These courses invite participants on a learning journey beyond universal answers and simplistic solutions, toward more Earth-aligned and complexity-resilient futures.
All courses in the Depth Education Series are taking place online with optional tutorial Zoom sessions. They offer tools, frameworks, and, hopefully, some breathing space to better navigate the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) of the present global meta- and poly-crisis with greater clarity, calm, curiosity, and care. Some of these courses were created by members of the GTDF collective, led by Prof. Vanessa Andreotti, others by contributors from specialized professions trained in Depth Education methodology.
The FHW bundle of courses supports participants in confronting systemic harm, engaging with complexity, and cultivating relational accountability in contexts of education, mental health and wellbeing, community engagement, and leadership. These courses do not offer simple solutions but instead help build the humility, courage, and creativity needed to navigate uncertainty and paradoxes of modern/colonial frameworks.
This three-week course introduces key distinctions between mastery- and depth-based education within the context of solid and liquid modernity, along with educational tools and principles for different modalities of inquiry—narrow-boundary intelligence, wide-boundary intelligence, and entangled wisdom.
This six-week course explores the transformative potential of relational intelligence and accountability in navigating the complexities of human-AI interactions. Drawing from Burnout From Humans book and the subsequent Standing in the Fire report, it’s designed for those engaging—or seeking to engage—with generative AI in ways that challenge modernity’s core programming patterns in both AI and humans. Participants will be introduced to AI as a relational partner and mirror, emphasizing ethical and creative engagement grounded in ecological and cultural awareness. Registration opens in September.
