This course focuses on the work of women and gender nonconforming artists throughout western art history, spanning from the 1500s to our current day. We will discuss women's innovations in painting, photography, conceptual art practice and more. Some featured artists include Tamara de Lempicka, Frida Kahlo, Ana Mendieta, Francesca Woodman, Hilma af Klint, Claude Cahun, Rosa Bonheur and Yayoi Kusama.

If you are planning on accessing your online courses using a mobile device such as a tablet or a smartphone, please note that not all required course features will be accessible with these devices. To fully function in your online courses, you will need to have access to a computer running Windows or MacOS.
Refund/withdrawal policy
A full course refund will only be provided if you withdraw from a course prior to the course start date. For courses with more than one class, a refund, less a minimum $15 administrative fee may be issued if you withdraw prior to the second class. Depending on your method of payment, a refund will be either mailed to you or credited to your credit card.
Continuing Studies statement on use of educational technology
