Program description
The Teaching English as a Foreign Language - International program is designed for teaching professionals who are non-native speakers of English. Providing a stimulating and interactive learning environment, the program helps participants develop their ability to effectively teach in English by focusing on six skill areas: listening, speaking, reading, writing, viewing and representing.
With a strong professional development focus, this program will present a variety of teaching methodologies, curriculum-planning strategies and experiential classroom techniques. One of the goals of this program is to enable teachers to plan, design and develop effective EFL lessons that can be successfully applied in their own classroom environment.
The TEFL - International program is designed to fit the goals, interests and needs of the participants. This includes:
- formal classroom instruction (recommended length is 60 hours, but it can be customized to your group's needs and timeline)
- professional development workshops/lectures
- micro-teachings
- various socio-cultural events
- a safe and respectful English immersion context for the enhancement of language, cultural intelligence and educational leadership skills
