Multidisciplinary Foundations of Physical Activity
COURSE
Course description
In this course we’ll examine the relationship of physical activity to education, kinesiology, athletics, health, recreation and leisure. We’ll also discuss the contributions made by the sciences of physiology, motor learning and biomechanics.
Students gain an understanding of the historical, philosophical and psycho-sociological foundations of physical education and discuss a wide range of contemporary issues as they affect physical activity and active living.

Face to face summer courses
Registration for these credit courses will begin in March. If you have never taken credit courses at UVic, you will need to apply for admission.
If you are certified by the Teacher Regulation Branch, forward a copy of your certificate/card to admissions; transcripts are not required.
If you were previously a student at UVic, you may need to re-register.
