Course description

A continuation of ASL 100B, providing essentials of fundamental structures for everyday interaction. Develops appropriate grammatical features and facial grammar including non-manual signals in addition to receptive and expressive signing skills. Presents insight into the Deaf community and Deaf Culture.

Prerequisite: ASL 100B

How to register

Registration is limited to UVic undergraduate students. Students should register themselves via UVic's Online Tools.

Students who have successfully completed a college or university course in ASL and/or are fluent ASL signers may apply to the department for consideration of advanced placement to a higher language level.
