Mr. Ron McMillan

Biography

Ron holds an MSc in Business Intelligence and has held a position as a faculty member at the British Columbia Institute of Technology teaching Business Intelligence and Business Analytics in the School of Business since 2004. He helped develop and stood as the first Program Head for the Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics at BCIT. Ron has previously worked as a private consultant and held Applications Developer, Systems Analyst, and Project Team Lead roles with experience in the IT, Telecommunications, and Mining Engineering sectors, ranging from Data Management and governance roles to simulation and stochastic modeling. He possesses a wide range of application language and development environment experience and is an evangelist for Business Intelligence and Analytics across all disciplines. He is a contributing co-author of the textbook Excel Module II – What If? Models and Data Analysis, covering the use of Microsoft Excel as a data consumer tool set.
