Course description

The international security environment is facing more numerous, diverse, and complex challenges today than at any point since the end of WWII. As a large middle power located at the geographic and geopolitical intersections of the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic regions, Canada is deeply affected by these overlapping challenges and changes. This talk outlines the current state of the international security order, the implications for Canada, and whether its new 2024 defence policy is sufficient to address these issues.
