Development of Centennial Square
COURSE
Course description
Centennial Square was created in the early 1960s to mark Victoria’s 100th anniversary as a city with mayor and council. Heritage buildings were razed, a street was closed and a modernistic civic plaza was designed to create public space next to city hall. The history, development and evolution of the square will be the topics of John Adams’s illustrated talk.
