Cascadia Seaweed

Part of: Peninsula Pursuits

Course description

Cascadia Seaweed grows local species of seaweed on low-impact ocean farms in partnership with coastal First Nations. They then harvest that seaweed and manufacture products for regenerative agriculture helping farmers increase their yields while reducing emissions. They aim to do so at a large enough scale to meaningfully impact climate change and food security.

Come learn about how this local company is not just building a business, but leading the development of a whole new sector for coastal British Columbia!

Speaker: Bill Collins, MSc. P.Geo, Founder and Director, Cascadia Seaweed
