Neurodiversity: Unmasking Strengths and Dismantling Barriers

Course description

In today’s world, understanding and accommodating neurodiversity is an essential part of creating a more inclusive environment. This session examines neurodiversity through a neurodivergent-affirming and intersectional lens, and is for neurodivergent individuals, caregivers, educators, employers, healthcare providers or anyone wanting to learn about neurodiversity. We will explore some of the many strengths and challenges of neurodivergent individuals, and you will learn the importance of embracing neurodiversity while gaining insight into how to recognize and address systemic barriers. Practical accommodations to support neurodivergent individuals in multiple settings will also be discussed.
