Get the information technology security fundamentals you need to prepare for and maintain business continuity in the event of an emergency. Learn about security topics related to risk assessment, vulnerabilities and threats, tools and technologies, policies, user awareness, incident response and recovery planning. We will also be covering security issues and solutions in the context of modern technologies such as mobile devices, cloud computing and web applications.
To withdraw from any course in the program, notification must be provided to the course instructor and to administration (1-250-721-8558 or email@example.com). A course refund, minus a $75 administration fee, will only be provided within 6 calendar days after the course start date. Students who withdraw after that date may be eligible to receive a W transcript status. Students who do not notify the course instructor and administrative staff of their decision not to complete the course will receive a failing grade (F).
Continuing Studies statement on use of educational technology
This course will require the use of Zoom and may use other education technology such as internet-based applications, cloud services, or social media. In order to complete this course you will be required to either consent to the disclosure of your personal information outside of Canada to enable use of these technologies, or work with the Division of Continuing Studies to explore other privacy protective options (such as using an alias or nickname).
