Program description

This series of public speaking workshops will strengthen public speaking, fluency and communication confidence. It is designed to be paired with an intensive English program for maximum benefit. Students will:

  • Improve accuracy, pronunciation and fluency through an interactive portfolio-based approach
  • Develop and practice public speaking skills through a Toastmaster-like format
  • Give a variety of oral presentations, based on specific themes and other topics tailored to your specific interests and professions

Participants receive a Certificate of Completion for Customized English for Professional Communication in addition to their intensive English Certificate of Completion.

  • English classes: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
  • Business English classes: 2:00 – 4:00 pm (7 classes total + 1 business visit)
  • Daytime activities on other days: 2:00 – 4:00 pm
  • Evening activities: 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Sample schedule with Language and Culture - Sept.-March

  • English classes: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday to Thursday
  • Business English classes: Fridays
  • Field trips and socio cultural activities: Fridays

Application information

Admission requirements

To study in this program, you must:

  • have an intermediate level of English, equivalent to 4.5 IELTS or 53 ibT
  • be registered in an open intensive English program such as Language and Culture
