Student Conduct and Attendance

As an ELC student, you are expected to:

  • attend classes every day
  • do all homework assignments
  • arrive in class on time
  • participate fully in all class activities
  • speak English at all times
  • attend socio-cultural activities outside class time

To be successful in your ELC program, it is very important that you attend all classes, arriving on time each day.  Your teachers will review the attendance policy with you at the beginning of your program. Students who miss 20% or more of their program will not receive a Certificate of Completion or Record of Grade, and in some cases may also be asked to leave the program.

If you must leave the program before the program end date, please tell your teachers and the Registration staff.  Students leaving before the end of a program may forfeit their Certificate of Completion.
