Optional activity: Encounters with Place (Hike and Learn)
This 2-day outdoor ecology activity introduces students to local landscapes, waterways, and plant life. Encounters with Place guides students on walks to Mt. Tolmie, Mystic Vale, Cottonwood Swamp and Cadboro Bay Beach. Students learn to identify native and introduced species while exploring campus-area ecosystems.
2 day program, total 12 hrs of learning
- Saturday, Oct 25 9 am–3:30 pm, 2 x 3h blocks with lunch in between
- Saturday, Nov 1 9 am–3:30 pm, 2 x 3h blocks with lunch in between
The application deadline is Friday October 3.
