CIM Professional Development and Networking Event
PRODUCT
Join our CIM Chartered Managers Canada British Columbia & Yukon Chapter on Saturday, May 25th at the University of Victoria Continuing Studies for a professional development and networking event for both UVIC student and professional members.
This event will feature two speaker presentations followed by a discussion group and then a service pin presentation to long-term CIM members.

- Feature Presentations:
- "Leadership Aspects of Diversity & Inclusion" - a managerial perspective
- Peter P. Fernandes (M.Com, D.PA., P.Mgr., C.Mgr.) - Peter Fernandes was the Chief Corporate Budget Officer of the City of Edmonton and subsequently, Chief of Diversity Initiatives Office of that City. He was a guest lecturer at the University of Western Ontario, Local Govt. Studies and at the University of Alberta, Extension Department. During the past few years, he has been providing consulting and training services on topics of Diversity, Conflict in the Workplace and so on, mainly to public sector clients in Ontario, and in the Cities of Winnipeg,
Edmonton, Calgary, Abbotsford, Richmond and Surrey.

- Michelle Gohlan (M.A, CPHR, SHRM-SCP) - With over two decades of international experience, Michelle excels in building high-performing teams for multinational corporations. Her expertise lies in cultivating cultures where every individual can thrive, while guiding senior leaders to achieve sustainable DEIB initiatives. As a passionate advocate for DEIB, Michelle champions the transformative power of effective diversity and inclusion practices in driving individual, team, and organizational growth. Michelle holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and holds both the CPHR (Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of BC & Yukon, Canada) and SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional), USA professional designations.
