Course description

Explore music from around the world, as we learn about the folk and art music scenes of different cultures. You will become familiar with non-Western music, and learn the basic definitive characteristics of the music from different regions. As we listen, we will dive into brief examinations of signature instruments that shape the sound of their respective cultures. No prior musical knowledge required.
