Biography

Iehnhotonkwas Bonnie Jane Maracle, Wolf Clan, Mohawk Nation at Tyendinaga Territory.

Bonnie Jane Maracle holds a BA in Indigenous studies from Trent University, a BEd and MEd from Queen’s University and she is a PhD candidate (Indigenous studies) at Trent. She is on the boards of the Tsi Tyonnheht Onkwawenna Language and Cultural Centre, Tyendinaga and the Ontario Native Literacy Coalition, Six Nations. Bonnie Jane is presently employed as ​Indigenous learning strategist the University of Toronto and as a ​sessional instructor for the Certificate in Indigenous Language Revitalization program at the University of Victoria.

She is also the language program coordinator at Kanatsiohareke ​Mohawk Community in upstate New York. ​
