Email list: Health Impact Assessment: Foundational principles, processes and practice

This online, micro-credential is a specialized program designed to equip multi-disciplinary professionals with critical skills that are aligned with international standards of Health Impact Assessment (HIA) practice. HIA is often used in the planning and preparation for major projects, or as a tool for post-incidents or disasters. The fundamentals can be incorporated into environmental and social impact assessment processes or HIAs can be stand alone. The ultimate goal of HIAs are to provide decision-makers with evidence-based insights on how projects, policies, incidents and events might influence public health outcomes, and to ensure that health considerations are integrated into planning and development processes to the benefit of society.
