Biography

Candace T. Matelic has developed her skills in community engagement, strategic planning, interpretive master planning, interpretive training and organizational development through 50 years of museum experience at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, Mission Houses Museum, Historic St. Mary's City, Santa Fe’s Children’s Museum and Center for Contemporary Art, and working with 50+ consulting clients. Dr. Matelic has taught widely in museum studies, including courses in five Canadian provinces, the museum studies program at Johns Hopkins (20 courses), and the Cooperstown Graduate Program for a decade. She has presented at 100+ conferences and workshops, presented 36 times as a keynoter, and authored dozens of articles, webinars, and other publications.
