Course description

Humans have been adapting their intellectual and physical environments since we first evolved.

Choose a human achievement that makes you proud of our species and find out about its history, what it depended on, the people involved, and its impact over the long term. Some examples to stimulate thinking: Sputnik, the Odyssey, the Parthenon, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, bronze, radio, the transistor, or Starry Night.

Share your findings with the group in a presentation intended to promote discussion.
