Aging, Memory and Your Brain

COURSE

Course description

In this talk, University of Victoria psychology and cognitive science professor, Dr. Jordana Wynn will discuss cognitive and brain changes that occur with healthy and pathological aging.

To better understand these changes, Dr. Wynn will introduce the science of memory and cognitive aging. She will then go over some of the common changes that occur with aging—both the bad and the good—and the brain changes that underlie them. Finally, Dr. Wynn will introduce some tools to support healthy memory and aging, including a primer on how to be an active and safe consumer of popular science media.
