Canadian Coins

		This is the one-cent coin. The common name for the one-cent coin is a penny. It is made out of copper. Canadian one-cent coins have two maple leaves on them. The maple leaf is the national symbol of Canada.
		This is the five-cent coin. The common name for the five-cent coin is a nickel. There is a picture of a beaver on a Canadian 5-cent coin. Beavers build dams with their strong teeth and tails.
		This is the ten-cent coin. The common name for the ten-cent coin is a dime. There is a picture of a sailboat called the Bluenose on the Canadian ten-cent coin.
		This is the twenty-five cent coin. The common name for the twenty-five cent coin is a quarter. This coin has a picture of a caribou on it. Caribou are large, strong animals. Caribou are a kind of deer. (The singular and plural form of caribou are the same: one caribou, two caribou.)
		This is the one-dollar coin. The common name for the one-dollar coin is a loonie. It is called a loonie because the bird pictured on the coin is a loon.
		This is the two-dollar coin. The common name for the two-dollar coin is a toonie.
