The English Language Centre (ELC) is proud to receive the 2023 award for Outstanding Program in International Education.
The ELC is one of four recipients at the 14th annual BCCIE International Education Awards and was recognized for its excellence in delivering high quality and innovative programming.
The awards were hosted by the BC Council for International Education (BCCIE) and honoured the outstanding achievement in the field of international education in British Columbia.
The ELC was established in 1970 and supports the University of Victoria’s international recruitment as one of the largest on-campus English language programs in Canada. Seppy Masoodi, director of the ELC, accepted the award on behalf of the school.
"The BCCIE International Education Awards, now in their 14th year, celebrate the tremendous achievement of our colleagues in the international education sector in BC," says Randall Martin, executive director of the BC Council for International Education. "We are thrilled to recognize the outstanding work of this year’s winners who continually go above and beyond in furthering international education initiatives in BC, Canada and across the world."
Winners represented a diverse community of professionals whose work has positioned BC as a leader in attracting and supporting international students and in delivering innovative global partnerships.
