8:00am – 8:30am | Arriving at the ELC
UVic staff (Cultural Assistants – CAs) will be at the main bus stop to direct you to the Continuing Studies Building (CST).
Meet in Testing Groups for Writing Sample Tests
Testing Group locations for your first day will be available by 8:00pm on Friday, January 30 at Monthly English Programs – First Day Locations.

Please join us for a game of Bingo. Learn about resources and enjoy some coffee and muffins in the CST Atrium.
10:30am – 12:30pm | Speak Tests and Campus Tours with CAs
Speak Test times will be assigned by the instructors. Campus Tours will be led by CAs.
12:30pm – 1:15pm | Lunch Break
1:30pm – 2:30pm | Program and UMO (bus pass) Orientation
Meet in the CST to walk to Cinecenta in the Student Union Building for the Program Orientation
2:30pm – 3:00pm | Homestay Orientation
At Cinecenta in the Student Union Building for the Homestay Orientation
3:00pm | End of Day or Program Introduction meeting
- Most students: CAs will be available to direct you to the bus stop to go home.
- Students from Meisei University and Osaka Kyoiku University: Walk back to CST with CAs to meet your Program Coordinator.
3:30pm | End of Day for Meisei University and OKU students
CST is the Continuing Studies building, home of the English Language Centre (ELC).
