Myles Creed (he/him) is a linguist, instructor, and curriculum developer living and working on the unceded territories of the xÊ·məθkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. His ancestry is English, Irish and French. He was raised on QikiqtaÄ¡ruÅ‹miut Iñupiat lands in QikiqtaÄ¡ruk (Kotzebue), Alaska. He graduated with a MA in General Linguistics from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD in Linguistics from University of Victoria. Since 2014, he has worked closely with Iñupiaq language revitalization efforts, most closely with the IlÌ£isaqativut language coalition. He has also worked with Doyon Foundation on Dene languages efforts, including in online language course development and in mentor-apprentice program development. He has additionally worked with the NEȾOLṈEW̱ Research Partnership on researching language assessment in language revitalization. In his free time, he enjoys learning Chinese and Spanish, running, soccer, and travel.Â
