Playful Literacy Learning: Small Groups that Make Big Impact

Part of: October Teacher Pro-D Day

Course description

What comes after we collect literacy data? The fun part! Join us for a playful and practical workshop filled with engaging literacy games and hands-on stations for Kindergarten to Grade 2 classrooms. Together, we will explore activities that support phonemic awareness, phonics, word building, vocabulary, and early writing while helping students build independence. Participants will learn strategies for introducing and modelling literacy games so teachers can work with small groups while the rest of the class stays meaningfully engaged. Come ready to play, collaborate, and leave with creative ideas for building a purposeful literacy station toolkit that supports diverse learners in joyful ways.
