Course description

SAFE Design™ for Built Environments is an applied, industry-aligned course that focuses on reducing safety, security, and crime-related risks through smarter planning, design, and delivery decisions. Developed in collaboration with SAFE Design™, it introduces an evidence-based approach rooted in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) and aligned with global standards. You’ll learn how to address growing regulatory, liability, and operational expectations by making informed decisions that strengthen safety outcomes from the earliest stages of a project.

Designed for professionals across construction, design, engineering, and operations, this online, self-paced course equips you with practical tools and methods to integrate security into the full project lifecycle. Rather than treating security as an add-on, you’ll gain the skills to embed it into planning, design, construction, and long-term use, helping you lead safer, more resilient built environment projects with confidence.
