Procurement Practices and Contract Management for Construction and Trades

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:

1. Apply procurement planning and sourcing strategies to support construction and trade projects while meeting cost, schedule, quality, and public procurement requirements.
2. Prepare compliant procurement and bid documentation by interpreting drawings, specifications, and tender requirements using standard templates and digital bidding tools;
3. Evaluate, select, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to establish pricing, schedules, and performance expectations;
4. Administer procurement and subcontract agreements through purchase orders, invoicing, change orders, compliance tracking, and project close-out;
5. Identify and mitigate procurement and contract risks while communicating effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
