Campus is re-opening as scheduled at noon as weather conditions continue to improve. Major roadways are clear and BC Transit is providing updates on affected routes on their channels.

We realize the early morning conditions caused many disruptions and we appreciate your understanding.

UVic crews continue to clear pathways and parking lots. Be prepared for snowy, icy and slushy conditions on campus and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Allow extra time and take care in your travels.

Previous update:

Due to winter conditions, the opening of campus will be delayed until noon today. Snowfall has varied across the region and BC Transit is reporting that their operations are significantly affected at this time.

We will continue to monitor conditions that affect people’s ability to safely travel to campus.

UVic crews are working to clear roadways, paths and parking lots in order of priority.

Be safe! Please plan ahead, allow extra time and take care in your travels. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and be prepared for snowy, icy and slushy conditions.
