Escape
Part of:
UVic on the Peninsula,
SAGE Study Groups
Course description
An escape can be the act of leaving one situation for something better or it can be a destination.
History, literature and popular culture provide many examples, such as the Underground Railroad; Timothy Leary’s Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out; Club Med; or Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner.
After investigating an interesting escape to learn about the circumstances, characters, why, how, when, and the eventual outcome, participants will share their findings with the group in a short presentation meant to stimulate discussion.
