Learning About Indigenous Culture Through Literature

COURSE

Course description

As a result of the Report from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission published in 2015, we have become more acquainted with various components of the Indigenous cultures of Canada.

While some of us might know the literary works of writers such as late Richard Wagamese, we might not know the work of writers like Jane Willis or Howard Adams.

Through a variety of activities and explorations, we will learn about protocol, language, history, and diverse worldviews.
