Dr. Leslie McGeough (pronounced Ma-Gue) is a passionate educator, guiding thousands of business students in Canada to achieve their career goals of innovative leadership, management and small business ownership at Royal Roads University and the University of Victoria (both in Victoria), and at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, BC. She is also a technology entrepreneur having founded two successful companies—in online education delivery with GoForth Institute, and in educational app-based software development with GoRobos Inc. Leslie possesses a unique combination of academic and entrepreneurial skills, and experience, and is a key player in Canada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
She believes managers and employees today can enhance their relationships with customers and clients through development of a more entrepreneurial mindset—one focused on building relationships through empathy and deep understanding of wants and needs—in order to design and build solutions that resonate deeply with the people they serve.
Leslie holds a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing, an MBA in new venture development and strategy, and Canada’s first doctoral degree in entrepreneurship—all from the University of Calgary. Her research in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial psychology has been published in several North American peer-reviewed journals.
