Studying English for Less than Six Months: ELC Program Combinations

In response to Canada’s cap on new study permit applications and the requirement for international students studying for more than six months to receive a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) from their host institution, many agents are adjusting their recruitment strategy to focus on programs less than six months in duration.

Good news! The ELC offers short-term programs and program combinations with start dates throughout the year. Our intensive approach to language instruction means that students can make a lot of progress with their English skills in under six months. Check out the options below:

Starting in July or August

Start in July 2024:

Summer Language and Culture (July 2 – 26) + Summer Language and Culture (July 29 – Aug. 23) + Intensive English (Sept. 9 – Dec. 4) = 20 study weeks (23 weeks in Canada)
Summer Language and Culture (July 8 – Aug. 16) + Intensive English (Sept. 9 – Dec. 4) = 18 study weeks (21 weeks in Canada)
