Chris Leeson

Biography

Chris Leeson, BMus Ed, MA, currently teaches band, strings, and choir at Shoreline Middle School in SD61.  He holds a B.Mus Ed from the University of Regina and has just completed his M.A. in Band Conducting at the American Band College of Sam Houston State University.  Chris is passionate about finding new ways get students excited about music and learning.  As part of this, Chris has been using gamification for five years to great success.  He also presented his work at the University of Victoria’s “Assessment in a Time of Curriculum Change” conference on April 2nd, 2016.
