Course description

Have you ever wanted to visit one of the wettest places in the Western Hemisphere? This class provides a chance to take an old-fashioned 'slide show' to the jungles of the Chocó in Western Colombia and explore the capital of Quibdó, the Río San Juan and the Río Baudó. The presenter spent two years there, working with Indigenous Peoples on an environmental impact assessment project for the Pan American Highway. Discover the Chocó!
