Getting to Mars has never been easy. In the time that humans have been sending probes to Mars, there have been devastating failures and incredible successes. Probes, Landers, Satellites and Rovers have provided us with a huge amount of data and knowledge about the Red Planet.
NASA has now stated that we are closer to landing a human on Mars than ever before. This talk will look at the technical, human and ethical challenges required to achieve such a mission.
Instructor: Dr. Parvez Kumar has been associated with NASA for 25 years, and has worked for Canada’s National Research Council and the Canadian Space Agency.
