La Maison Française Residential Student Information

If you are attending La Maison Française on an Explore bursary then, yes. Explore bursary students are required to live on campus and follow the regulations governing the University Residence Services.

All other students are welcome to choose the residential option to enjoy a truely immersive experience.

Students staying on campus should check in between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm on Monday, July 2nd. Our team will have a "Welcome" table set up outside the Residence Services Office which is located in the Craigdarroch office buidling, parking lot #5 off Sinclair Rd.

Front desk staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should you arrive later or need any further assistance.

Extra nights in residence must be booked and paid directly through the Residence Services Office. Make a booking by phone at 250-721-8657 or by e-mail at bookings@uvic.ca. Make sure to let them know that you are a participant of La Maison Française to ensure you receive the special rate.

All rooms are single occupancy. Men and women are housed on separate floors, and each floor has shared bathroom facilities.

Laundry machines are available in each building. They are operated with "smart cards" that can be purchased in the front office at a vending machine.

Although mail will not be delivered to your room, you can have letters and packages sent to the Residence Services office. A photo I.D. will be required for pick up.
