French Language Diploma Program, level 1 (FLDP100)

This is the beginner level of our French Language Diploma Program, focusing on all four basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing). Classes meet twice weekly for two hours, for two 13-week semesters. Entrance at midpoint in January is possible if your initial level is sufficient. Small classes (maximum 18) enhance individual participation. Classes feature a balance of structural and communicative activities and an important cultural content to optimize learning.

French Language Diploma Program, level 2 (FLDP200)

This is the second level of our five-level French Language Diploma Program, focusing on all four basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing).

Classes meet twice weekly for two hours, for two 13-week semesters. Entrance at midpoint in January is possible if your initial level is sufficient. This is the fourth level of our five-level French Language Diploma Program, focusing on all four basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing). Classes meet once weekly for three hours, for two 13-week semesters. Entrance at midpoint in January is possible if your initial level is sufficient. Small classes (maximum 18) enhance individual participation. Classes feature a balance of structural and communicative activities and an important cultural content to optimize learning.

French Language Diploma Program, level 5 (FLDP500)

This is the highest level of our five-level French Language Diploma Program, focusing on all four basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing). Classes meet once weekly for three hours, for two 13-week semesters.

Entrance at midpoint in January is not possible. Small classes (maximum 18) enhance individual participation. Classes feature a balance of structural and communicative activities and an important cultural content to optimize learning.

Students who successfully complete this level receive the French Language Diploma in June and are invited to participate in Spring Convocation.
