Tour description

Spain is more than flamenco and paella, and when you join our travel study tour you will see how much more it has to offer. We begin our journey with a visit of the capital, Madrid. It is home to the famous Prado Museum, with paintings of the masters, Velázquez, El Greco, Goya and more. From Madrid, there will be a day trip to Segovia, a city with a rich history. The south of Spain is home to Moorish architectural marvels, like the beautiful Giralda Tower in Seville and the glorious Alhambra in Granada. On the Mediterranean coast, stops in Nerja, Malaga and Valencia give you a chance to see the spectacular beaches that have drawn people from around the world. Finally, in Barcelona everyone must walk the Ramblas and the mysterious Gothic Quarter. No visit is complete without seeing the Sagrada Familia by Antoni Gaudí. Barcelona has something for everyone: art, music and fashion.

In every city, we will sample traditional cuisine and Spanish wines. You will have a chance to do some exploring on your own as well. In the pre-trip classes, you will learn about Spain’s history to help you appreciate the Roman bridges, the Moorish palaces and Gothic cathedrals that we will visit. Join us for fun, food and even flamenco!
