Victoria – Seattle – Phoenix
Depart Victoria this morning for Seattle, where we connect to our flight to Phoenix, arriving in the afternoon. We are met on arrival and transferred to the iconic Arizona Biltmore Hotel for a two-night stay. Unwind from your flight by exploring the 39 acres of gardens and swimming pools. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant this evening. (D)
Transportation and entrance to the Heard and Phoenix Art Museums today, including a docent tour at each. Evening free. (B)
Phoenix – Sedona – Williams
We leave Phoenix by coach this morning and travel to Williams, on the way, stopping for a walk in the red desert and in Sedona for lunch on your own. Continue to Williams for two nights at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel. (B/D)
Williams – Grand Canyon – Williams
After breakfast we board our Grand Canyon Railway train for the 2-hour and 15-minute (130 mile) journey. Once at the Canyon we take a 1-1/2 hour guided coach tour to scenic points along the South rim and then have free time to explore on our own before the return journey. (B/D)
Williams – Flagstaff – Gallup
We depart Williams this morning, stopping briefly in Flagstaff and continuing along Route 66 to Gallup. Overnight in Gallup. Dinner on your own this evening at one of the nearby restaurants. (B)
Gallup – Santa Fe
We travel by coach today from Gallup to Santa Fe. Check in to the Inn of the Governors for a four-night stay. (B)
Santa Fe – Abiquiu – Ghost Ranch Excursion – Santa Fe
This morning we have a guided tour of the home and studio of Georgia O’Keeffe in Abiquiu. From there we continue to her other home, Ghost Ranch, and with a guided tour, experience the scenes and actual locations of her paintings. (B)
This morning we visit the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. A guided tour is followed by ample time on your own in the museum. Remainder of the day is free to explore other museums, galleries and shops. (B)
Santa Fe – Taos Excursion – Santa Fe
First we visit D.H. Lawrence’s cabin on the ranch near San Cristobal, about 20 miles northwest of Taos. Next we take a tour of the Taos Pueblo followed by free time in Taos to browse the galleries and bookstores. (B)
Santa Fe – Albuquerque
We depart Santa Fe this morning for Albuquerque, stopping en route to visit Sandia Peak and take the 15 minute tramway ride to the top to marvel at the 11,000 square mile panoramic view of New Mexico. Overnight in Albuquerque. This evening we have an early farewell dinner at Antiquity Restaurant, a leisurely walk from our hotel. (B/D)
