The Gift of the Nile (at Mary Winspear Centre)
COURSE
Course description
The Nile is the longest river in the world, and along its banks lies one of the oldest civilizations on earth. Since the days of Herodotus, travellers have flocked to Egypt to marvel at its tombs, gaze at its temples and stand in awe at its majestic pyramids. In this session we will take a journey up the Nile from Alexandria to Abu Simbel to explore the legacy of Egypt’s ancient history, using maps, photographs and artifacts.
