Non-Attachment: Buddha's Wisdom of Letting Go

COURSE

Course description

We have countless desires, but no matter how much effort we make, we never feel that we’ve satisfied them. We want all the best things—the best job, the best partner, the best reputation, the best house, the best car, the best holiday. Anything that is not “the best” leaves us with a feeling of disappointment—still searching for, but not finding, what we want. No worldly enjoyment, however, can give us the complete and perfect satisfaction we desire. By controlling our desire we can make ourselves happy and free ourselves from problems because uncontrolled desire is the source of suffering and problems. We have strong attachments to the fulfilment of our own desires, and because of our uncontrolled desire we human beings create problems and dangers in the world. In this course, you will learn practical methods for recognizing and reducing attachment problems.
