From Antimatter to Atom Bombs: Questions that Change Our World (at Mary Winspear Centre)
Part of:
Peninsula Pursuits
Course description
An exploration of what makes a scientific question a good one. Which questions lead us to our discoveries about motion, about the world, about the stars? When do we abandon our curiosity, and when do we let it override our caution? The discoveries of two fundamentally new forms of matter in the 20th century – antimatter and neutrinos – together provide a narrative that helps us understand the scientific pursuit of understanding reality.
