Understanding and Coping with Persistent and Chronic Pain
Chronic pain can affect our health and wellness in many ways. This course is for those who experience chronic or persistent pain, as well as their friends, family and caregivers. Participants will learn about the biology of pain as well as be provided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help manage the pain experience. Being able to deal with something as difficult as chronic pain is incredibly challenging. While this course is not intended to replace individualized advice from your doctor, it will provide knowledge on how to better understand and cope with pain. Note, these techniques are NOT recommended for acute pain or the new onset of pain conditions.
Course withdrawal must occur at least 48 hours prior to course commencement to receive a refund less a $25 administrative fee.
